Aylesbury four-piece, Blushes have released their fourth single – ‘Honey’ and I am so excited to be able to share it with you all. After being approached back in November and given a sneak peek, I have been hooked on this track!
Blushes are beginning to gain some traction having been recognised by NME and approached by BBC Radio 1’s, Phil Taggart.
"If Foals were to write a stone-cold pop banger with nearly every song - Blushes material might be the closest we'll ever get to it." - NME
Honey is the perfect balance of naturalism and modernism, a concoction of raw drum beats and guitar distortion. The song manages to remain different from their former singles such as ‘Crocodiles‘ yet still carries some of their respective traits with the complimentary male and female vocals boosting one another which sets them apart from other bands.
Blushes are undeniably one for your playlist and one to check out live. I can confirm they are on my to-watch list! In the mean time, check out ‘Honey’ and let us know what you think.
